[Ambition waits for Ludger in the dining hall. Her mask is off, and she's got the little mini cheesecake in front of her... but she's also got two forks, and she offers one to him when he walks in.]
[She spears a piece of the cheesecake on her fork, then takes the first bite before nudging it to him.]
It would have been preferable if that total idiot hadn't gone and killed someone while he was on Disorder's team, but at least he took out Ruin if he had to kill anyone at all. We're all safer with her gone.
[ a (small) bite! mmm, cheesecake. with a tiny side of yikes. ]
... To be honest, I'm surprised he could kill her. Dragons are pretty tough, and if she was from a world that had them...
[ ruin must've been a tough cookie. and newt, ah, certainly gave the impression he wasn't. ]
I thought I'd stick with Cunning for another week, see if I could snoop around more and figure out who killed the other two victims this week. It's not set in stone though. Do you have an idea?
That's what happens when we're vulnerable. She made her rule last week thinking it would give her a chance to fight back, but...
[Well, that hadn't turned out the way she'd wanted it to. All the more reason to not/i> get vulnerable, thanks.
At his question, her grip tightens on her fork.]
...I'm worried about Disorder. She's in the same place now as he was last week, but I don't know if anyone is going to help her... because of what that jerk did.
[ hm... he thinks he can see where this is going. ]
Disorder isn't so bad. She seemed willing to extend the trial, when I asked her.
I think everyone here is very generous though - a lot of people joined Cunning because they knew you were worried. I can't imagine they wouldn't join Disorder, either.
[ ambition probably wants a guarantee... but what if everyone who jumped to cunning jump to disorder, and no one stays behind? ]
[Well, that shocks the grateful expression right off her face.]
Seriously? It's what it sounds like. If you do things for us, we can do things for you. Like, right now I owe you because you went to Cunning and you're going to go to Disorder for me.
Right. There are basic rules - I can't just outright give you someone's alignment, or the name of a culprit, or anything. And I can't do any favors that would be ripping off another god's power.
But other than that - especially since it's me - there's a lot I can do. I can give you hints that the other gods can't; that's my specialty.
I don't think that would be impossible. If it's too similar to one of the powers we're offering to all of you as our followers, it definitely won't work, but I can give you an item that would let you use a power from somewhere else one time if you wanted. I owe you big time, after all.
... Would it be possible to create an item that can cast Resurrection?
[ he's hopeful, but also doubtful, because a) ludger can't cast spirit artes for shit and b) wouldn't resurrecting a recently fallen go against the rules of this place? ]
[She seems to be considering it, at least! Ambition crosses her arms, taking a moment to think it over while the mods discuss it.]
It might be possible... with some limitations. It'd only work on someone who's in the same faction as you when you use it. [...] And once they're fully under Patience's supervision, I won't be able to touch them. So you'd have to use it the same week someone died to bring them back.
[i.e. before the mingle turns over and they get the Graveyard Deets]
WEEK 4
Here. Share this with me.

Thank you. I gratefully accept your offer.
[ but he doesn't take the first bite either. it's hers, after all??? ]
Another week down.

[yikes, but like. not untrue.]
What are your plans for next week?

[Ambition looks down at her hands.]
I know I'm the one who wanted you to join Cunning... but will you join Disorder this week? For me?
no subject
Just for this next week. And then I'm back to you for the last one, remember?
[ he promised, after all. ]

[this is the part where you're supposed to say "thank you" instead of doubting him, ambition]

[ because he has more feelings than sense. ]

That's - you're...
[...]
Thank you.

Oh! Actually, I do have one question. What's up with favors?
[ he asks..... 5 weeks into the game....... ]

Hints? In that case, I don't see why we summon anyone besides you to trial.
[ bc no one knows about this, ludger ]
... Is it possible to recreate a power from another world?
no subject
[like come on, y'all]
I don't think that would be impossible. If it's too similar to one of the powers we're offering to all of you as our followers, it definitely won't work, but I can give you an item that would let you use a power from somewhere else one time if you wanted. I owe you big time, after all.

Do I have to pick what that power would be now?

What if I try using it on someone who isn't in my faction?
[ does he get a mysterious voice from above yelling at him to 'try again, dipshit'? ]
no subject
Then it won't work, and you'll have wasted its one use.
no subject
[ well it was worth a shot! ]
But the god in charge of a trial will tell us what the victim's alignment was, right? So I guess not knowing someone's faction wouldn't be an issue...
[ he's not missing any hidden downsides, right? ]
