If I'm remembering correctly, Ruin was the one who first suggested it.
[He hesitates then, playing almost nervously with his fingers.]
We may be removed fully from the competition--from the entire setting--temporarily stripped of our godly position. Beyond that, I can't really say what would happen, because it's never happened before.
There was enough support backing her that those of us who disagreed had no choice but to play by their terms.
[Ruin's such a bad egg!!!]
I can only wish I hadn't been so mild mannered. Maybe things would have been different from the start. But now, regretting the past only distracts from the possibility of a brighter future.
I'm sorry to say that the most I've come to learn about her is that she makes herself deliberately hard to read. Overall, she's never really done much to make herself be read as a threat, but her actions as far as this contest is concerned has made a lot of our numbers look at her uneasily.
[He wishes he knew what to think. It hasn't been so hard with any of the others.]
I think she's biding her time, but for what, I don't know. She never participated in the discussion about this competition as it formed, but she also never spoke out against it either. She's never said much about anything on the matter either way.
I don't know if I'd say I'm worried, necessarily, but I'd be more comfortable if she was upfront about her feelings. There's little to be understood from silence.
[Piety thinks for a moment.]
Indulgence, maybe. He's easily swayed by flattery.
Messages can still be sent from one side to the other. It's possible we may be able to form a line of communication--if not with her, than with others who end up under her care.
WEEK 2
Welcome back--it's good to see you again.

Thanks for your help in the last trial. [...] I have a question, as you probably expected.
no subject
[Weh.]
I'll answer as best as I can, in that case.

Do you think you'd die?
no subject
[There's a troubled sound to his voice.]
I hope it doesn't come to that, but then, I didn't want anyone else to die, either, even if it's only just until a winner is crowned.

[IT WAS COMING FROM RUIN]

[He just arbitrarily agrees to things without thinking...]
Justice was manipulated into saying yes through threatening means, which put us at a split of six for and six against.
[Piety sighs.]
So we needed someone to break the tie.
no subject
And how'd the tie break?

Would you say that it was characteristic of her? What was her reasoning?

[He wishes he knew what to think. It hasn't been so hard with any of the others.]
I think she's biding her time, but for what, I don't know. She never participated in the discussion about this competition as it formed, but she also never spoke out against it either. She's never said much about anything on the matter either way.

Would any of the other gods know her better? What actions from her are worrying you?

[Piety thinks for a moment.]
Indulgence, maybe. He's easily swayed by flattery.
no subject
I don't disagree with that.
... It's possible for me to leave her an offering as a meeting request, right?
no subject
You can send her things, but right now she's not able to come back to the temple; she's in a realm outside of it.

Others who end up under her care, though? Do you mean Itachi and the like?
