Zoe-san. [Just. To stop her for a sec.] When people are up against things like this, they lose sight and start being illogical. Blaming the first person that makes sense. Letting themselves jump to conclusions. We can't let that happen.

Right. And what you see and what you understand might not be the right answer either. But when the truth comes out, you can't run away from it. You have to accept it for what it is, and try to understand it to the best of your ability.

You have to remember the things you've learned before the moment you're in them.

[An echoing sigh.]

[But right.] ...there's nothing you can do to change what happened to that girl, but maybe there's something you can do in the trial to keep everyone on track. How good are you at public speaking?

I need you to lead group discussions tomorrow. I know that doesn't make sense right now, but things are going to get out of hand really fast because, like, it's murder. So many of you have never dealt with this before and you're going to see things none of you should ever see. Your task will be to lead a group discussion based on a piece of evidence, and rule out if it is or isn't relevant to what's happening with the crime.

Any. And if you can't, it's okay. I won't smite you for it or whatever, you just...have to trust me. Forty people might be hard to organize, but give them a path to follow and they'll figure it out.
